Velocity

Velocity describes speed and motion of a body. It describes how fast and in what direction a body is moving. If a car is moving at 60 mph and going north the velocity would be 60 mph north. Velocity is a vector quantity and cannot be described without a direction. Speed, on the other hand, is a scalar quantity.
