Set four RCX's down on the table. Each RCX has a single message (such as "wait 30 seconds", "turn around", "turn right", ...). The Mothership (RCX #5) comes by and will respond to each beacon by obeying the command and then moving on. With this scenario, you can "program" the Mothership by where you place the various beacons.
