History and Growth
The
CEEO has been working with the LEGO Group and National Instruments for
more than 10 years, developing tools that enable students to engineer
and discover science and math on their own. ROBOLAB was the
initial software development project that has led to much of the CEEO's
outreach and research activities. The CEEO, LEGO Group, and
National Instruments are now refining many of the successful ideas in
the ROBOLAB product to inform the development of future software
applications that complete the pre-K through college continuum of
educational technologies.
In 2007, the CEEO began the RoboBooks
project, which is a new product development effort that assists
teachers and students in sharing their ideas, results, and stories.
Through the RoboBooks project, it is hoped that more classrooms around
the world can adopt STEM applications in the classroom to engage
students in learning.
