Melissa Pickering is a former Imagineer for the Walt Disney Company, and most recently managed operations of the Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO), focused on bringing engineering into K-12 education. Inspired by her own experiences with project-based learning in her early school years, which largely influenced her path to mechanical engineering, Melissa launched iCreate to address the need to give students an opportunity to express, engage, and be excited about learning. In March of 2011 Melissa was honored by Mass High Tech as a Woman to Watch, an award given to female leaders of the New England technology and innovation community.
