Jessica
is in the first year of the MS program in Mechanical Engineering. She
received her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts in June. Her
interests are dynamics and controls, especially as they apply to
robotics and mechatronic applications.
Education
B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Tufts University, 2011
Research Interests
Jessica's research involves exploring beginner and hobbyist robotic platforms and
developing tools to aid students in learning engineering design and
robotics in the classroom. She has worked extensively with the LEGO NXT
developing projects for high school students, and also has explored the
Surveyor Blackfin Robot for teaching image processing to children. She
is currently working with the National Instruments Robotics Starter Kit
(DaNI 1.0).
